Originally from Scotland, Sofia holds a degree in Immunology from the University of Glasgow and a Master’s in Research (MScR) in Medical Sciences with Engagement from The University of Edinburgh.

During her master’s, Sofia had the opportunity to complete an individual research project in clinical immunology related to the development of novel treatments for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), utilising data from Horizon Europe projects. After moving to Spain, she continued to collaborate closely with researchers as a Clinical Data Analyst alongside assisting in teaching Science in English through play-based learning.

In addition to her research project, Sofia has been involved in the development and dissemination of local and national scientific communication, engagement and outreach projects.
