María Pin Nó

Scientific Communications Officer

María is a Chemist by training and a curious mind by nature. She started as a researcher in the United Kingdom, looking for sustainable biobased materials made from pine tree derivatives. But, during the pandemic, she decided to come back and soon after, she was awarded a TECNIOspring Industry fellowship to develop new cosmetic ingredients from lignin at Roka Furadada. However, she found that the lab was not her preferred environment.

She enjoyed more explaining what she was doing and the science behind it, than actually working on it. With some experience on Science Communication and Engagement, she started collaborating on the communication of the company, ensuring that the message was technically precise and attractive throughout all media and projects.

When her time at the company came to an end, she decided to pursue a career in Science communication and in 2025 she graduated from the Barcelona School of Management where she completed her Master’s in Science, Medical and Environmental Communication.
