AI-Powered Innovations to Transform Stroke Care in Europe: Welcoming the UMBRELLA Project

At Teamit, we are proud to announce that we are part of UMBRELLA, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming stroke care across Europe. Spearheaded by the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and Siemens Healthineers, UMBRELLA brings together over 20 public and private partners, including Teamit, to revolutionise stroke diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.

More than 1 million stroke patients annually and nearly 10 million survivors in Europe could benefit from UMBRELLA’s cutting-edge AI-powered solutions. These innovations will improve diagnosis, accelerate treatment, and reduce long-term complications, significantly improving the quality of life for patients. Teamit is excited to contribute our expertise in both Management and Communications to advance these goals.

With €26.9 million in funding over five years—including €14.8 million from the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and €12.1 million from industry partners—UMBRELLA is poised to bridge critical gaps in stroke care, providing personalized solutions from diagnosis to rehabilitation.

“UMBRELLA heralds a new era in stroke care, enhancing access to pioneering treatments for countless patients across Europe.” says Dr. Carlos Molina, Head of the Stroke Research Group, Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR)

We look forward to collaborating with our partners to deliver AI-driven innovations that will reduce treatment delays and improve outcomes for stroke survivors.
