Catalan Health Minister, Josep Maria Argimon, visits Teamit Research at the BHH

Teamit Research CEO, Eva Molero had the opportunity to meet this week with Josep Maria Argimon, Catalonia’s Health Minister (Conseller de Salut), Yolanda Lejardi and Xavier Trias, Director and President of the Board respectively of the Institut Català de la Salut, the largest health care provider in Catalonia. Their visit to Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau was organised by the Barcelona Health Hub (BHH) to showcase the work being done by some of its members and resident companies

Invited by the Barcelona Health Hub (BHH), Argimon, Lejardi and Trias, who besides former mayor of Barcelona was also Conseller de Salut from 1988 to 1996, visited different resident companies at Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau to learn more about their innovative ventures in the health sector. During their conversation, Molero referred to Teamit’s activities in international public-private partnerships in ground-breaking biomedical research projects funded by the European Union and to the scientific management of pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology studies.

Currently, Teamit Research manages projects and medicine and vaccine studies mobilising approximately 150 million Euros in research funds. The company collaborates worldwide with over 100 leading research organisations from the public and private sectors (including academia, hospitals, research centers, patient organisations, regulatory agencies, pharmaceutical companies and research SMEs). “Although the vast majority of our partners are European, we are fully committed with the Catalan ecosystem and ready to engage with new partners who share our mission to bring transformative innovations to life-sciences research” stated Molero. “Being part of the BHH helps us connect and network with the vibrant local digital health environment”.

Almirall’s Digital Garden,  UniversalDoctor, the Innolab of Grupo DKV, IOMED and Mediktor were also showcased during Argimon’s visit to the BHH.
