To better address patients’ unmet needs, their perspectives and insights are increasingly being incorporated in the process of developing new medicines and treatments. With a view to facilitate this transition to a more patient centric model and support all stakeholders involved in drug development across Europe, a new publication in Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science Journal offers a roadmap for patient engagement. The paper “Sustaining Meaningful Patient Engagement Across the Lifecycle of Medicines: A Roadmap for Action” brings in key PARADIGM outputs to achieve sustained patient engagement in patient organisations, medicines developers, academia, regulatory authorities, Health Technology Assessment bodies, payers, policy-makers and public research funders.
Teamit’s Eva Molero and Elisa Ferrer, as part of the PARADIGM project, have co-authored this paper, along other Consortium members.
