We are excited to announce the launch of the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA), a groundbreaking initiative set to redefine the landscape of rare disease research and improve the lives of the over 30 million patients across Europe and beyond. With its kick off at the beginning of September, ERDERA represents a monumental step forward in improving the lives of the 30 million rare disease patients across Europe and beyond.
With a budget exceeding 380 million euros, ERDERA is a partnership championed by the European Union under Horizon Europe programme and supported by member states and countries associated to this research and innovation programme. Under the leadership of France’s National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), this alliance brings together over 170 organizations from both the public and private sectors. The goal? To advance research in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of rare diseases.
Our Role in ERDERA
Teamit is proud to play a pivotal role in communication and dissemination and to provide support to the project management team for ERDERA. Our mission is to ensure that the alliance’s goals are effectively communicated, results broadly disseminated and that the project is managed with precision and efficiency.
Strategic Communication: We are dedicated to conveying ERDERA’s vision and progress to diverse audiences, including patients, researchers, funders, policy makers and the general public. This involves managing the overall communication to build ERDERA’s reputations and producing content that highlights the alliance’s milestones and facilitates understanding of its achievements and results.
Project Management: Our responsibilities involve overseeing project planning and reporting to ensure adherence to the timeline and budget. We also establish and maintain reporting mechanisms and coordinate the production of reports. Additionally, we are responsible for setting up the Annual Work Programme, which includes developing the plan for the upcoming year.
ERDERA´s Launch Event
ERDERA will host a launch event on October 28-29, featuring representatives from the European Commission, the French Ministries of Health and Research, the ERDERA leadership team, and patient organizations.
