This past Sunday, Teamit Research joined thousands to take part in the annual solidarity walk “Magic Line 2023” organised by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. Since 2014, people have come together in this emblematic event to help support those most in need across different causes including homelessness, mental health, research, migration, and much more.
For us as, a Barcelona-based company, this opportunity to join was an excellent way to give back to our community and support organisations and causes that align with our values. We strongly believe that we have a social responsibility: only through our commitment for positive, widespread impact in this world—especially in life sciences and health—can we truly make a difference.
At the same time, participating in the walk meant a chance for us as a team to build relationships and camaraderie outside of the office. It is not so often that employees get the chance to know their colleagues on a more personal level, especially whilst walking for a good cause. So, as we strolled the paved routes, we could not help but laugh and share stories, and even meet friends and family of our fellow workmates.
All in all, there’s something to be said when your place of work is no longer about meetings and emails, but instead, about causes and values.
