Marking its first five years, Teamit’s 2025 Annual Report reflects an organisation entering a new stage of maturity, with broader expertise, stronger capabilities and a clear strategic vision.
Since its founding in 2020, Teamit has evolved from a small organisation of seven professionals supporting six projects into a multidisciplinary team of 30 people contributing to 19 projects and studies across a wide range of health research fields. 2025 provided an opportunity to celebrate five years of fruitful partnerships, ambitious projects and dedicated professionals that have shaped the organisation since its creation.
Throughout the year, Teamit focused on consolidating its progress, while preparing for future opportunities and challenges. A key milestone was the development of its second Strategic Plan (2026-2029), which sets out the organisation’s vision for the coming years and reinforces its commitment to impactful, multidisciplinary and stakeholder-driven health research.
“After these first five years, we move forward with ambition, strong foundations and a clear belief that impactful research, done collaboratively and with purpose, matters more than ever.”
Eva Molero, Founder and CEO of Teamit
Expanding our contribution to European health research
In 2025, the scope and ambition of the initiatives supported by Teamit continued to expand. The organisation’s active portfolio reached 19 projects, studies and networks, reflecting an increasingly diverse contribution across health research, innovation and evidence generation.
New additions included the Innovative Health Initiative-funded RealiseD project, focused on improving clinical trial methodologies for rare and ultra-rare diseases, and studies on the safety of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccines.
The portfolio now spans 16 scientific areas, from rare diseases, stroke and immunotherapies to vaccine safety, real-world evidence, regulatory science and digital health. Teamit also strengthened its role in the development of European funding proposals, contributing strategic input from the earliest stages. As part of this evolution, scientific writing emerged as a new area of expertise.
Teamit’s expanding ecosystem of collaborators reached 320 partner organisations across Europe and beyond.
Building stronger foundations for the future
Alongside the expansion of its portfolio, Teamit continued to strengthen the capabilities that support its work. Professional development, training and digital transformation remained priorities throughout the year, helping improve coordination, efficiency and consistency across teams and projects.
Teamit enters its next chapter in a rapidly evolving research landscape shaped by health data, regulatory developments and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. The organisation is now implementing its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan and contributing to new European initiatives in areas including the European Health Data Space and advanced therapies.
